How did this come about? By providing smaller sized containers which could fit in a customer's driveway or parking lot, the providers got rid of the problem of space and the associated road blocks that a big container caused in a neighborhood. Small size of the self storage containers meant that providers could place the containers for a longer duration as the customer wanted in his driveway to load in his own time. A relaxed time schedule meant lesser headaches for the provider and lesser anxiety for the customer. The schedule of delivery at the new place of residence could now also be decided by the client. Clients utilized this flexibility to hunt for their dream house and then prepare the house before asking the provider to deliver their belongings.
